Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 June 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Relayn, an AI support bot for Discord communities, together with our websites at relayn.io and app.relayn.io and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read them carefully. Relayn is currently a beta-stage project; a formal legal entity is being established and will become the operator of the Service.

1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Relayn ("Relayn", "we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account, connecting a Discord server, uploading knowledge, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a community, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you and that entity.

Relayn is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY — to be registered]. A registered company name and address will be added here once the entity is established. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms by reference.

2. Definitions

  • "Service" means the Relayn AI support bot, dashboard, websites, APIs, and related features that we make available.
  • "Customer" or "User" means a person or entity that signs in to the dashboard, connects a Discord server, and manages the bot.
  • "Community Member" means an end user who interacts with the bot inside a connected Discord server but who does not necessarily hold a Relayn account.
  • "Knowledge" or "Content" means documents, files, URLs, text, moderator answers, and other material that a Customer uploads, links, or otherwise provides to train or operate the bot.
  • "Workspace" means the configuration unit in the dashboard that corresponds to a connected Discord server, including its knowledge, bot settings, team, and interaction history.
  • "Team Member" means a person whom a Customer invites to access or help manage a Workspace.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are below the age of digital consent that applies in your country of residence in the European Union (which may be up to 16), you may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Because the Service operates on Discord, you must also comply at all times with Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and any other Discord policies. A breach of Discord’s terms may also constitute a breach of these Terms.

If you connect a Discord server or act on behalf of a community or organization, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to do so and to bind that server, community, or organization to these Terms.

4. Description of the Service & Beta Status

Relayn automatically answers questions from Community Members inside connected Discord servers. It draws on (a) Knowledge that the Customer uploads or links, and (b) self-learning derived from answers given by moderators in Discord chat. The dashboard at app.relayn.io lets Customers sign in, connect Discord servers, upload Knowledge, manage the bot, review interactions, and manage their team.

The Service is currently provided as a free private and public beta. It is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis for evaluation and feedback purposes. The Service may contain errors, may change significantly, and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued in whole or in part at any time without notice.

We do not provide any service-level agreement (SLA) or guarantee of availability, uptime, performance, or data retention during the beta. Features, limits, and behavior may change as the Service evolves.

5. Accounts & Security

You access the dashboard by signing in with Discord through Discord OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account and any other credentials used to access the Service, and for all activity that occurs through your account.

You are responsible for the Discord server you connect, for the permissions you grant to the bot, and for the conduct of the Team Members you invite. You must promptly notify us at legal@mail.relayn.io if you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your account or Workspace.

You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion as described in these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

When using the Service, you must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights;
  • upload, link, or generate content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harmful, hateful, harassing, or that violates Discord’s policies;
  • upload Knowledge that you do not have the rights to use, or that contains personal data you are not permitted to share or process;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, copy, or extract the underlying models, software, or data of the Service, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other users’ Workspaces, including through automated abuse or denial-of- service activity;
  • use the Service to build or train a competing product, or to resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent;
  • misrepresent the bot’s answers as human, professional, or authoritative advice where doing so would mislead Community Members.

We may investigate and take action, including suspension or termination, in response to suspected violations.

7. Customer Content & Knowledge

As between you and Relayn, you retain all ownership rights in the Knowledge and Content you provide. You grant Relayn a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use your Knowledge and Content for the purpose of operating, maintaining, securing, and improving the Service, including indexing it and using it to generate the bot’s answers and self-learning features.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to provide your Knowledge and Content and to grant the license above, and that doing so does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.

You are solely responsible for any personal data contained in the Knowledge or Content you upload, and for having a valid legal basis to process and share it. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which you should review before uploading any personal data.

8. AI-Generated Answers

The bot’s answers are generated automatically by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or otherwise unreliable. AI-generated answers do not constitute professional advice of any kind, including legal, financial, medical, or technical advice, and must not be relied upon as such.

You are responsible for moderating, reviewing, and overseeing the bot’s behavior in your community, including the Knowledge it is trained on and the answers it provides. We do not warrant that the answers will be correct or suitable for any particular purpose, and you use them at your own risk.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third-party platforms, including Discord (the core platform on which the bot operates) and a third-party AI/ML provider used to generate answers. It may also rely on other third-party services from time to time. The specific providers we use are listed in our Privacy Policy.

Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies, and you are responsible for complying with them. In particular, you must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and with the applicable terms of any AI provider.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party platforms, their availability, their content, or their handling of data. Changes made by a third-party platform may affect the Service, and we are not liable for any resulting disruption.

10. Plans, Fees & Payment

The Service is currently provided free of charge during the beta, and no payment is taken at this time.

We plan to introduce paid plans in the future (currently envisioned as Free, Pro, and Team tiers), and a 14-day Pro trial is planned but is not yet active, even where it may appear on our landing page. Any such plans, trials, and pricing are subject to change and may never be released.

If and when billing launches, separate billing terms will apply and will be presented to you before any charge is incurred. We reserve the right to introduce charges for the Service or for particular features in the future with reasonable prior notice, and you will not be charged without first agreeing to the applicable paid terms.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, platform, design, models (to the extent owned or licensed by us), documentation, and the Relayn name, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Relayn or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

You keep ownership of your own Knowledge and Content, subject to the license you grant us in Section 7. You may not use our trademarks or branding without our prior written permission.

12. Suspension & Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, disconnect your Discord server, and delete your Workspace or account through the dashboard or by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law or by a third-party platform, if your use poses a security or operational risk, or if we discontinue the Service. During the beta in particular, the Service may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete your Workspace, Knowledge, and associated data. Deletion and retention of personal data are described in our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

13. Disclaimers & Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

You acknowledge that the Service is a beta offering and that AI-generated answers may be inaccurate. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Relayn and the entity to be registered as its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including reliance on AI-generated answers.

Because the Service is currently provided free of charge during the beta, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service and these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have actually paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the liability (currently zero), or (b) the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any mandatory consumer rights.

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Relayn, the entity to be registered as its operator, and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your Knowledge or Content, (b) your use of the Service, (c) your breach of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any law or third-party rights, including Discord’s terms. This Section does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own breach or unlawful conduct, and it does not affect mandatory consumer rights.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without prejudice to any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.

Once the operating legal entity is registered, the competent courts or dispute-resolution mechanism will be confirmed and this Section will be updated accordingly.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and nothing in these Terms deprives you of those rights or of your right to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence where applicable law so provides.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service, the registration of the operating legal entity, the launch of billing, or changes in law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service.

18. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, you can contact us at legal@mail.relayn.io. A registered company name and address will be added here once the operating legal entity is established.
